Big Enough To Matter, Small Enough To Care
Ascension was founded in 2007. Since then, we’ve grown to more than 480 employees in 35 offices nationwide. Each year we strengthen both our balance sheet and our reputation, and we move up in the ranks of top-rated independent insurance brokerages in the U.S. We are in the top 50 brokerage/consulting firms (based on revenue size), nationally, and expect to continue our strong growth trajectory through additional acquisitions and organic growth. In recent years, we’ve acquired some of our industry’s biggest giants, including Pan American, provider of protection for the agricultural industry since 1946. Not all of our acquisitions have this depth of history, but many have been notable players in their respective fields, such as Renaissance Insurance Agency, the leading provider of collegiate health solutions, Summit America, the top intercollegiate athletic insurance firm in the country, and Transure Services, Inc., which has been fulfilling the insurance needs of the transportation trade for more than 50 years.
Our size affords us the resources that only a large firm can marshal. This allows us to react quickly, and deploy appropriate resources when additional support is needed, particularly to help facilitate the processes when alternative scenarios are being considered. Size is not our primary goal, however. We aim to be the most responsive insurance and consulting services company you’ve ever worked with.
Our Partners
Headquartered in Walnut Creek, California, Ascension is a privately held corporation. Primary ownership interests are held by our private equity partners, Parthenon Capital and Century Capital Management.
Parthenon Capital Partners invests in management teams and their companies, creating value by building market leaders and accelerating earnings growth through both acquisitive and organic strategies.
Century Capital Partners provides buyout capital and growth equity to financial services, insurance, and healthcare services companies, pursuing both control and minority investments in rapidly growing, profitable businesses led by management teams that are leaders in their respective industries.
