Expansive Growth. Extraordinary Opportunities.
With approximately 500 employees in 35 offices (and growing) nationwide, we have the resources of a national agency but also the personal touch of a local boutique firm. As a mid-market brokerage leader, we like to think we’re big enough to matter, yet small enough to care. While you’re nurturing strong relationships with clients and delivering value far beyond their expectations, you’ll have the privilege of being an Ascension brand ambassador and building a truly worthwhile career.
We Don’t Do Business As Usual
Each and every member of our sales organization is a leader committed to our customers’ successes. And we’re committed to yours. From career development to leadership training to work-life perks, Ascension provides the resources—many of which you won’t find elsewhere—to be successful.
A Rich Culture
The Ascension sales culture is rich and familial. Rather than compete, Producers demonstrate time and again they’re willing to provide support and assist each other in reaching individual goals. Ours sales teams come together triannually (at minimum) in their respective regions, and annually on the national level, to strengthen relationships and collaborate on new ideas, trends, and strategies.
Generous Incentives
Our sales culture is rooted in support and incentives, so you’ll find your hard work and accomplishments, big or small, rarely go unnoticed. In addition, our highest-performing Producers receive a Summit Club reward trip each year.
Dynamic Sales Training
Whether you’re new to sales or a seasoned pro, we’ll provide you the support you need to develop your talent and get out in the field as quickly as possible. Our experienced trainers, training programs, and various business-intelligence technology platforms (e.g., salesforce.com (SFDC), AMS 360/WorkSmart, RiskMatch, etc.) teach and assist in grasping the art of sales for beginners—and provide continuing education and autonomy for experienced pros.
In-House Loss-Control
Having access to in-house loss-control services, when you need them, helps you compete for, and win, bigger accounts. It also adds value to your relationships with existing clients. Our loss-control experts provide a wide range of services, at no extra charge to you or the client. Trainings can be specifically tailored to any industry and include, but are not limited to, any of the following topics:
- First Aid
- CPR
- Heat Stress
- Supervisors Training
- Sexual Harassment
- Defensive Driving
- OSHA Training and Mock Inspections
- DOT Guidance
- Tractor Safety
- Fork Lift Certification
Account Management & Claims
Our dedicated account-management and internal-placement teams are specialized. While some agencies charge their Producers for access to claims management, ours are able to work in service to their clients and set a service plan for the client of the client.
Our Producers Are Knowledgeable & Specialized.
Coast-to-Coast Niche Markets
In the East, our sales practice focuses on the construction, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, and motorsports industries. We have access to key national and regional insurance carriers and significant leverage due to our premium volumes with each carrier. In the West, we’re the premier provider of quality property & casualty, workers’ compensation and employee benefits solutions to commercial growers, food processors, trucking, and nonprofits. Our West-Coast Producers’ thorough understanding of the unique insurance needs of American agribusinesses is supported by the broadest access to major carriers and niche agricultural markets. In all regions, we have experts in main street, construction, and more.
Higher-Education Insurance Needs
We’ve also made a significant name for ourselves in the collegiate-insurance space: We provide insurance coverage and program-administration services for more than 900 colleges and universities across the U.S. Our collegiate Producers have been serving institutions of higher education for more than 40 years. We’re the endorsed broker for the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU) and an endorsed partner of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
